1. Why is Chandon partnering with a Formula 1 team?

Chandon is a vibrant global brand. It has six wineries around the world, and its wines are consumed across five continents.

Formula 1 racing is a thrilling spectacle – a symbol of excellence that is adored by hundreds of millions around the globe.

Chandon is pleased to share these moments of achievement and celebration together with Formula 1 millions of fans.  This partnership with the McLaren Honda Formula 1 team is a terrific new occasion and a way to share sparkling moments around the world.

2. Why is Chandon partnering with the McLaren-Honda F1™ Team?

McLaren is a natural choice for Chandon. It is one of most successful teams in Formula 1 history, and has 182 Grand Prix wins. The McLaren-Honda F1™ Team also has a rich and illustrious heritage, which parallels Chandon’s own legacy.

McLaren is an innovative brand that pushes the boundaries, with a standard of excellence that is closely aligned with our brand.

Chandon also has an adventurous and illustrious background that is founded on its spirit of openness and collaboration. The spirit of innovation is trademark of the company. In 1920, when luxury business was at its worst due to the First World War, Jean de Vogüé, thanks to his spirit of innovation, perceived the great potential of new wine countries to elaborate prodigious wines.

The prestigious winemaker Renaud Poirer is entrusted to find the best terroirs of the South American continent, deciding to establish Bodegas Chandon, the first subsidiary of Moët & Chandon, in Mendoza, Argentina, in 1959. Passion for innovation, growing incomparable grapes and elaborating amazing wines, led to the foundation of Bodegas Chandon in 1959, followed by Chandon wineries in Brazil and California in 1973, Australia in 1984, and, recently, China and India in 2013-2014.

With its inherent elegance and easy-going ‘joie de vivre’, this partnership with the McLaren-Honda F1™ Team is the perfect opportunity to share Chandon with Formula 1 fans and continue its story around the world.

Together, let’s enjoy the most desired premium drink on the planet earth before the end of the 21st century and in our galaxy in the 22nd century!
